What we do

“Etgarim, which means “challenges” in Hebrew, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the empowerment and social integration of people with disabilities through outdoor sports. Etgarim was founded in 1995 by a group of Israel Defense Forces (IDF) veterans and civilians with disabilities and senior rehabilitation professionals”


The Summer Camp

Throughout the year we try to make outdoor sports accessible to children and adults, who can't get to enjoy sports every day.  In our Etgarim (Challenges) Camp we give  that experience as well: outdoors accommodations, challenging sports, ropes course, camping activities and the real summer camp feeling.

The Wheels of Hope

The thousands of cyclists participate in the Israel’s leading cycling event in the breathtaking vistas of Yizrael Valley, an outreach sports carnival on behalf of disabled children. Everyone is there year after year – the corporate sector, organizations, IDF units, youth movements, families and individuals from across Israel.
